constructive.bio leverages decades of research carried out at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (Cambridge) by Dr Jason Chin's group. The company aims to reprogram the genetic code for a range of medical and industrial applications. Its proprietary technology allows to create novel codons, thus creating new building blocks for life.
We created a brand identity that incorporates the concept of transition, fluidity and progressiveness. The symbol idea originates from the molecular backbone common to all amino acids. The compositions allows to expand the brand universe by playing with the different regions of the symbol, the colour scenarios and the matching surrounding area: new chemical spaces, beyond frontiers.
We crafted a minimalistic, flowing identity that pivots between industrial design and living organisms. The colours follow this foundational idea: solid colours that transform into bright fluid shapes.
